Collective energy is powerful. It can make happen what needs doing. And yet, do not forget the power of the individual to enact change, one person at a time. With heart centered goodness become a beacon of change in your own life. Shine your light within the self and make change there so that when you shine your light outside of yourself it is a clear and uncompromised light, full of love without restraint, full of hope without blockage, full of kindness without withholding. Shine your light within and make change there too.

Remain heart centered in your intent, with compassion for yourself too, for though you may not be perfect you can still strive for perfection, and though you may not be fully in the place you want to be you can continue your quest for the self you know you are. All that is happening outside of you is reflected inside of you; the discontent, the inequality, the anger, the fear, the greed, the bigotry, the great need for change. The entire world is in an uproar. Do not let this uproar go to waste. Within and without, dare to change so that equanimity may be achieved, so that all may flourish, so that peace may come. A warrior knows that an opportunity like this may not come again for a long time. With loving kindness and compassion for all beings, a warrior does not let this time of great opportunity slip by. Begin by changing the self.

Abide in knowing that all things change, that even this time will evolve, that even the most discouraging situations must come to a natural end. A warrior precipitates change by intending it within the self, by setting intentions for positive outcomes, by turning inward and enacting slow and subtle changes within the self. A warrior asks the tough questions circulating without of the self, so that everything that is happening in the world becomes a personal issue to be resolved within. In this manner a warrior reassembles the chaos into a clear route to personal positive change, from that which is seemingly impossible into something totally possible. For a warrior everything is possible.

When chaos reigns a warrior remains steady, taking what is happening outside as a signal to practice the warrior’s way, to work with the chaos within the self, treating it as if it were death itself seeking to attach, working through every inner fear and every moment of chill reality alike as if for the last time. A warrior knows that this too is a path with heart, that this too must be faced with the same loving kindness and compassion as a day of joy, that attention must be focused on a positive outcome. An impeccable warrior’s weapon of choice remains love, no matter the circumstance.
