Maintain balance in mind, body and spirit, not too much, not too little but just enough of anything so that there are no imbalances or cravings. To stay in balance is often a tricky endeavor but well worth the effort. In balance the mind is appropriately calm and appropriately busy; the body is in good health, neither hungry nor craving, neither lazy nor overdoing; and the spirit is known and assimilated, neither neglected nor overpowering. In balance a sense of overall contentment reigns and nothing is too much, nothing is lacking, and nothing is desired. With balance comes just the right amount of energy, intuition, and spiritual insight. Seek balance in all things and grow satisfied yet alive, healthy and well, in all aspects of self.

Relax your mind. Relax your body. Relax your hold on thinking you have to do everything. Relax the tension in your muscles, and then go deeper than that. From your toes to the top of your head, and everything in between, relax. Life is not out to destroy you but to support you. Life is not out to stop you but to push you. Life is not out to punish you but to encourage you. Life is full of lessons, but the biggest one may be to learn to just relax and wait for life to show you what comes next rather than thinking you have to have it all figured out ahead of time, or that you have to direct it. There may just be another approach you haven’t thought of. Maybe you just need to relax, let down your guard and just experience it. It might be that simple. Indeed, there may just be another way after all.

Cultivate steadiness in all that you do, a calmness that is heart centered and indestructible, a focus that is unwavering. Learn to breathe yourself into a more solid, firm and yet flowing state so that you cannot be moved from your place of calm peacefulness no matter what comes to interrupt your daily life. Such steadiness in mind, body, and spirit will carry you well into a long life of adventure and change. It will help you to live a life of awareness, cultivating growth within yourself, while allowing for a true demeanor of kindness and compassion for all whom you encounter and all that surrounds you. Breathe.

A good sense of humor is the perfect antidote to the woes of the world, offering a different perspective from which to view that which is troubling. There is always a bright spot, a way to find laughter, no matter how bad the situation. When things get bad look on the lighter side and see if that doesn’t shift you, at least momentarily. As they say, “it can’t be all bad.” With a smile on your face even the worst of days takes on a brighter sheen.

Retain awareness of your spirit, your inner self and your physical self, your wholeness, throughout the day, for you are more than just matter and your wholeness matters. To forget that you are more than matter leaves you in a state of disconnection and fragmentation, far from the truth of who you truly are. You need awareness of your wholeness if you are going to follow your own inner spirit, your spirit guides, and the signs and synchronicities that come to guide you. Not only be aware of your wholeness but pay attention to how you are guided to make choices and live a good balanced life. Your life is your responsibility after all. How are you going to navigate life to your own satisfaction if you forget about your wholeness?
