Bear witness to the times you live in, for these are the changing times you have long anticipated, the times of upheaval and revelation, the times of chaos and confusion, which are leading to a new world order, not only among the human population but the entire planet. Bear witness from a positive and loving standpoint. Rather than stir up controversy, stir up kindness. Rather than acting from a place of fear, act from a loving place. Rather than spreading disdain, spread compassion. Rather than deny others the same happiness you seek, the same desire to avoid suffering, seek happiness and freedom from suffering for one and all. Rather than be full of anger, be full of loving kindness, intent upon forging a path of heart that all can travel with ease. Let everything you speak, write, and do prove that a path with heart is a path for all.

Be grateful to those who have given their lives and to those who will do so in the future in the eternal quest for freedom. Be thankful to those who have risen up and fanned the flames of inequality, showing the way now. Like never before embrace the causes of justice, equality, and truth for all of the oppressed. Do so with loving kindness and compassion, as have done all the great warriors whom have walked the earth before you and sought the same freedoms.

Remain heart centered in your intent, with compassion for yourself too, for though you may not be perfect you can still strive for perfection, and though you may not be fully in the place you want to be you can continue your quest for the self you know you are. All that is happening outside of you is reflected inside of you; the discontent, the inequality, the anger, the fear, the greed, the bigotry, the great need for change. The entire world is in an uproar. Do not let this uproar go to waste. Within and without, dare to change so that equanimity may be achieved, so that all may flourish, so that peace may come. A warrior knows that an opportunity like this may not come again for a long time. With loving kindness and compassion for all beings, a warrior does not let this time of great opportunity slip by. Begin by changing the self.

A warrior keeps life sacred, striving always to find the next step on a path with heart, holding the self accountable, making decisions and choices in keeping with the tenets of loving kindness and compassion as part of that sacred journey. For a warrior knows that a lifetime is over in the blink of an eye, and so a warrior keeps sacred each step, each thought, each action, as if they were the last. A warrior keeps each moment of each day sacred, no matter what is happening in the outside world.

When chaos reigns a warrior remains steady, taking what is happening outside as a signal to practice the warrior’s way, to work with the chaos within the self, treating it as if it were death itself seeking to attach, working through every inner fear and every moment of chill reality alike as if for the last time. A warrior knows that this too is a path with heart, that this too must be faced with the same loving kindness and compassion as a day of joy, that attention must be focused on a positive outcome. An impeccable warrior’s weapon of choice remains love, no matter the circumstance.
