Remain steady upon your path of heart, your path of change, your path of inner resolve, and without fear face your innermost difficulties, that which catches you up and seeks to block your progress, that which turns you back upon your old thoughts, ideas, and beliefs about yourself. You are fully capable of making the changes you desire. You are fully capable of fulfilling your own dreams. You are fully capable of finally taking charge and reforming your own life and yourself into a new life and a new self. You are capable of not only dreaming a new dream but of enacting that new dream, one day and one step at a time. Dream on with your good new dream of you uppermost in your mind, with that good new dream of you filling your heartspace, and with that good new dream of you the positive force behind every act you take. With love and determination, dream on, for you are more than worth it. And without a doubt, you can do it!

Something is missing. The old guard has left and the new guard arrived, but something is lacking. The old had something of value to offer; years of discipline, the will of accumulated practice, ancient knowledge that only an old warrior can accumulate and use properly. It is not appropriate to completely throw out the old. Learn from the old, even as you strive for the new, and all will not be lost. You are not forsaken but only eager, and you have quickly forgotten what you truly know; the beauty of kindness, the spirit of compassion, the wonder of love, even for yourself. These ancient powers still work and their magic must still prevail. Rely on them and all will be well, within and without.

No life’s path is ever perfectly straight, for to be in tao is to go with the flow, to be in tune, attuned, free to align with what is right in the moment. Some days are up, some days are down, as is natural. Some days are calm and some days are exciting. Some days are slow and meandering in their unwinding, while others go quickly and with great focus. Accept the tao of life, its natural unfolding, and go with the flow of what is, but remain always alert and aware, ready to shift at a moment’s notice, to take a new path, a new direction when it is right, for that too is being in tao.

Stop to look around you, to notice the clouds in the air, the wind on your cheek, the sounds all around you. You are a part of it all, and each small step brings you closer to more fully understanding that it is the enjoyment of such small things that matter the most. One day, one small step after another has created a whole world, and it has created you as well, in this moment now, on this day, in this time, a simple warrior taking a most momentous journey, seeking your wholeness, your peace, and your most precious Self.
