Let bygones be bygones as you move forward now into new life. Leave behind old regrets and resentments that will only inhibit you, hold you back and keep you attached to an old self who was not yet prepared to advance. The first step in advancement is to decide what you will take with you and what you will leave behind, ashes on the sacrificial funeral pyre. For every new beginning requires the sacrifice of something old. What no longer belongs in your life? What needs to go? It’s never too late to make a move in a new and positive direction. It’s never too late to change.

Break away from the usual patterns of behavior, the usual habits, the ideas that bind and restrict, the thoughts that repeatedly hold you back from accomplishing your dreams. Dreams are not just inventions of the imagination; they are real lifetime goals. Remember them? They may be long forgotten, buried under the vicissitudes of life. Bring them back to life and give them some attention. It’s never too late to bloom.

Enacting change can seem to take eons, yet all of a sudden it is upon you and you aren’t sure how it happened. You almost forgot your longing for it and yet before you know it you are swept up in it. “Is this what I asked for?” you wonder. Better to focus on navigating what has arrived than going down the rabbit hole of regret. Learn to navigate the changes in your own life by staying present in each moment, by being honest with yourself and by accepting your new reality without resentment or sadness. Life changes and yet it goes on in new fashion. Make it as meaningful as ever and you will not be disappointed.

When doubt strikes turn inward to the heart and ask it for guidance. Turn from the doubting mind to the knowing heart and let it strike doubt away with its profound knowledge, intuition, and unbending intent. The mind conjures all kinds of enticements, as well as doubt and fear, but the true and honest heart will not fail to observe and report to you in all honesty. When in doubt there is no greater ally than going to the heart of the matter and waiting patiently for guidance.

Notice how tiny deceptive thoughts can anchor in the mind and blow up into large phenomena. A tiny seed once planted, if constantly nurtured with additional thoughts, can blossom and grow out of control, becoming an invasive weed. Be careful of what you think. Keep a clear mind by doing constant cleaning, ridding the mind of those invasive seeds before they take root. Turn to the heart more often so that invasive ideas can be discerned and discarded, for the heart is the place of truth and a pure heart will not lead you astray. A heart that is turned to often is a heart that is strong, pure and nurtured, and what grows in such a heart is only the most creative thoughts, ideas and visions of a beautiful future. Listen to your heart.
