The road to change is never straight. It weaves, wobbles and backtracks, taking you through its necessary and inevitable twists and turns. Do not lose faith but keep going, for life’s unfolding is just that, full of twists and turns, playing out like a great mystery in which the ending is never truly known except the one great and permanent change at the end. During the playing out of the mystery of life maintain an attitude of curiosity, interest, fascination and constant openness to the mystery of what is to come so that every moment fills you with awe.

Keep your two feet on the ground, stationed on planet Earth, even as your spirit soars and your heart yearns for other worlds, other experiences and other knowledge. Like a rooted tree stand firmly attached even though your branches reach outward to embrace all that is. To be human is a privilege, with the opportunity to live among so much beauty and pain, so much love and despair, so much delight and intensity, the opposites that make life a divine privilege. Make the most of your experiences and make your time there of the utmost importance, for you and your life, in the great turmoil of it all, matter immensely.

For everyone has a mission. It is both a personal mission as well as a mission to contribute to the wholeness of the world you live in and the planet as well. To truly awaken is to awaken to these truths. And then the process is a step by step discovery of why you are present in the life you are in and to what purpose your spirit enticed you into life on earth once again.

Be in awe of the grand unfolding of life, at how one thing leads to another, how you are guided and supported, how in its unfolding life gives you exactly what you need to aid you in your endeavors. You are not alone but fully supported. Whether you know it or not, you have a vast array of helpers aiding you every day. Turn around every now and then and give thanks. They don’t need anything from you, so it’s not for them but only to remind yourself to remain in awe.

Once you have started upon a path of change and growth, remember each morning that it is a path of vitality, new life, and new circumstance that you seek. That it is a path of renewal, rejuvenation and connecting with your spirit so that your true self may finally fully live. Notice how the seasons show you the steady way to fulfillment, from the dead of winter to the fullness of summer’s bloom, and how change is continuous, for fall arrives annually to begin the cycle again. So is it with human beings as well, the cycle of opportunity and change is endless and thus always in the cards, and any day along the cyclical path is a good day to begin anew.
