You have autonomy and the ability to choose, every day, how you wish to live your life. Once adulthood is reached your decisions are your own, your attitudes are your own, how you decide to express yourself is up to you. Thus, you are in charge of the person you become each day as you interact in the world. Your inner world also comes into play because what’s going on inside you affects how you behave. Get to know yourself well so that your life has balance and so that it is healthy inside and out.

Be honest, especially with yourself. Don’t hide from the truth or uphold a dishonest opinion simply to not lose something. If you are living a lie then you have already lost. There is a saying—Live Your Truth—and that means coming clean and being honest with yourself. Honesty requires a fierceness that  dishonesty lacks. Consider how you are living your life now. Are you being honest with yourself? If not, what will it take for you to turn in that direction and be utterly open and honest about everything with a fierceness that you have never tapped into?

Find the right balance for you. Follow the guidance of your own body and your own spirit. It does not matter what anyone else does, it matters what you do according to what’s right for you. There is no one else to please or blame or hold accountable. Find the right balance within yourself to know and understand this, to know that you are the only person who can make you whole. Find your center each day and find your Self there, in all your glory.

Find your way to your loving self, to your heart center in its vastness, and ask yourself the question: What is my path now, at this point in my life? Times change, people and circumstances change and evolve, as have you. Who do you want to be now? Look to your heart for answers. It will speak clearly if you listen. It will tell you what’s really going on, what to believe and how to proceed. You may not like the truths your heart tells you, but it will not lie simply to make you feel better. It’s only interested in what’s right.

No regrets. Make your life a series of happy events by allowing for change, by being flexible, and with a bright heart let nothing hold you back from being your true self. Too many conventions restrict, deny and inhibit the true self from being allowed to live to the fullest. But you are in charge. So make a life that is more, that is fulfilling and a delight to wake up to each day. Make a life for yourself that is creative in all ways, expressive of who you have the capacity to be. Don’t hold yourself back, which will only lead to resentment. No regrets.
