The last thing you need to do is to go down an old pathway. You’ve been down that path so many times and you know where it leads. You have also been down so many new paths and you also know where they lead. Perhaps today indicates that all the usual pathways are old now, that something entirely new is required if you are to stay on your path of heart. Ask for guidance on where to go next, what is most meaningful, and what will enhance your journey through life with the least amount of harm and the most amount of progress. Look forward to something new today and expect it to appear. Have faith that the Universe is providing just what you most need right now.

Fortunately, each new day is another opportunity to step closer to getting to know yourself at a deeper level. In turning inward more often, in asking for help and letting help come to you, you offer yourself the opportunity to face the world in a new way. Perhaps it’s time to be humble, to be practical, to be observant, to be more fully present to what is happening on subtler levels of consciousness. What is your body trying to alert you to? What is your spirit attempting to teach you? What is your heart asking of you? Sit quietly and see if you can tune in. Something is bound to come through. And if you aren’t quite getting it yet, don’t worry, it will show up again and again until you do. Just keep an open mind and an open heart, and keep asking to be shown what it is that is most important for you to know today.

Underneath it all, under the mysteries of life, under the larger questions that overshadow life, under the frustrations at not knowing for sure what life is all about, lies the Eternal Self who has all the answers. This Eternal Self is waiting for you, right now, not in the future or in some other life, but now, waiting for you to ask the right question, the one only you can ask. What is the one question you feel you want to know the answer to? What is the one thing that keeps you stuck and unable to move into the greatness that you are fully capable of becoming? What is it that holds you in its grip? The answer is waiting for you, but you have to ask the right question first. And then you have to get out of your own way and let the answer hit you over the head so that there is no doubt about it. You might find that you don’t like the answer, but deep down inside you will know that it’s exactly right. Ask the right question, get the right answer.

Don’t forget your promise to yourself, the promise you made to find your spiritual connection to a deeper self but also a way to connect with the greater Universe. The Universe is always waiting to hear from you, and that is the real key, that it needs to hear from you. Reach out when you feel safe and ready. Ask for what you need. Present yourself in a firm and mature way. If you are uncertain in your request, you will receive uncertainty in return. Take time to phrase your request properly so that there is no ambiguity or uncertainty in your great ask. Take time to center yourself first and feel your heart’s response to what you feel you need. Your heart may have a different need, so take some time to ponder what is really right for you, now, at this time in your life.

When the Universe gives you something to work on remember to express gratitude. If you are given something tough to work on, give the Universe even more gratitude, knowing that you are being asked to move along at a faster pace, to get to the next big thing that is waiting for you. If you are not given much of a boot, then be grateful for that. Perhaps the Universe in such a case is saying that you are doing well with the issues you currently have at hand. Everyone is in a different phase of life. Keep that in mind. Your issues are your life challenges for the moment. Pay attention to what they might be telling you. It might not be what you think, so think outside the box, ask for clarification, and ask for guidance in determining what to do and where to go next. The answers always come, in some form, when you ask.
