Change is inevitable. All things evolve over time. All things undergo the natural process of a lifetime, both in nature and in human life, changing incrementally every day. Acceptance of change can take a lifetime, but one day it is no longer unseen to even the most avoidant eye. Change is life, life is change. And yet there is something that remains the same, the spirit of everything, which persists throughout all the changes that matter undergoes. And that is what evolves into new life. Pay attention to your spirit as it seeks to guide you each day through the inevitable changes of life. It knows what to do, how to be, and where to go.

When the body suffers look to Spirit for answers. Are you doing too much? Giving too much? Asking too much? Who takes care of you? Sometimes something is wrong in the body because you’ve been ignoring it. Other times there is a need for your Spirit to get your attention, to wake you up and remind you of your mission. What is your mission? You will find that in your everyday life, among the glories and mundanities of daily living. It’s usually very simple, like a call to be compassionate, grateful, or forgiving. Find your mission in life and you will find your Self.

It’s one thing to be wise but another thing to be humble enough to put one’s own wisdom to the test by acting upon what you know to be true. Just because someone is touted as being wise does not mean they are impeccable. To be impeccable is to be able to turn wisdom into action and to go through the trials to reach the truth of that wisdom, and then, ultimately, to arrive at even greater wisdom, which in its turn will need to be proven as well.

When in need call out for help and help will come in some form. But even so, it is up to each one of you to do with that help what you will. It is always your choice that matters most. All the help in the world will do you know good if you continually refuse to accept it, to utilize it, to take it inward and use it to your own advantage. You are in charge and what matters most is how you choose to live, where you choose to focus your energy, and where you find meaning and purpose.

Let not your sorrows stop you in your tracks, binding you to an old self, leaving you floundering. Parse out from memories the hidden jewels of truth and carry them forward into your future, knowing that life has not stagnated in the past, but that you have learned and matured with it. Every memory holds its glitter, its bead of learning. Without regret, but only with thanks, let memories teach you that you are but a student of life, learning every day what it means to experience it and learn from it in all the ways it teaches. With gratefulness for a beautiful passage thus far, move forward one day and one step at a time.
