It’s often hard to decipher meaning for the mundane, the everyday occurrences that spark little interest and hardly seem to be spiritual in nature. But keep in mind that you are a spiritual being inhabiting a physical body and so everything is of a spiritual nature; even the most mundane task is spiritual in nature because your spiritual self is partaking in it. The question arises, who is having the experience? Can you tell within yourself that it is your spirit that sees through your eyes, that hears through your ears, that speaks through your mouth? If you shift your knowing of yourself to this spirit being that you are, does not life begin to take on greater meaning, even in the most mundane moments?

Watch for signs that come to guide you. What have you been missing? What have you been misinterpreting? Sometimes a part of you will try to tell you something but you don’t get it. Sometimes a friendly helper will try to get your attention but you don’t see. When you are stuck in life and don’t know where to turn, remain open to the possibility of help from either outside of you or from inside of you; both options are highly available. You have a lot going for you. To become more aware remain open of mind and heart, and pay attention to what your body is telling you, for in both subtle and not so subtle ways it communicates on a daily basis.

Running off into fantasy or false ideas may relieve you of stress but also relieve you of taking responsibility for where you truly are, thus taking you from acceptance of the truth. Each day look to the truth of your life so that you may make the changes that are most helpful and beneficial to you, so that in every moment you may experience life in all its glory and as it truly is.

When things are difficult and clarity does not easily come, turn to the heart, to the truth it speaks, to its honest voice, so different from the chatter of the busy mind. The mind is a great conjurer while the heart is pure, and though the mind may have good intentions nothing compares to a truthful heart. What is your heart telling you today? Listen and it will whisper to you what it knows to be true, in its own way. And in your own way, listen and accept.

It’s your spirit that matters, your greater intent in life, and your outlook on life in general that can get you through any dark time. Staying centered within the self at all times, positive of outlook, anchored in the knowledge that you matter and that your progress is assured will get you where you need to be. Take advantage of any time in life as a time of learning and growth, even the dark times. With the right attitude that is always possible.
