Detachment is a skill well worth learning and practicing. To be detached is to fully know the self, to fully feel and know where all attachments lie, and then to work through them so that they no longer hold charges of energy, so that they do not hold the self to old agreements no longer feasible, so that they do not eat up one’s energy, one’s life, or keep one from the pursuit of one’s dreams. Attachments are the keepers of energy, while detachment is energetic freedom. In detachment one fully acknowledges attachments and yet one does not allow those attachments to rule. One fully loves others and yet one is not a slave to those loved ones. One is free to live life while letting others also fully live life, aware that it is the goal, privilege, and right of all beings to live life without energetic attachments that bind, hold one back, or inhibit one. Detachment means loving freedom for all. Practice detachment, with love for self and other, and begin to see its winning rewards of growth, maturity, and prosperity, in one and all.

Change may come in abrupt or in subtle ways but however it comes find the means to accept it and its necessity. Find ways to appreciate it for what it brings, for what you are being forced to learn and assimilate, and for the truth you discover about yourself. When change comes find ways to embrace it, to make the most of it, and to emerge from it a transformed being, for that is the grand opportunity that change presents, the chance to transform. And don’t forget to keep love always in your heart, in your mind, and in your body, for love is the greatest change agent of them all.

I Ching: What is the guidance for all in this time of great disarray?
As can be readily seen, the first four throws produced highly charged Yin Lines, topped with two solid Yang lines.
The image generated is one of a large tower on a mountain that captures a wide view of the countryside. Likewise, it is easily seen from a great distance. Thus, the image urges developing a broad perspective, as well as being a good example for all to see.
The four activated building blocks of the tower’s supporting columns (represented by the X marks) offer nuanced guidance and turn into their opposites, as they become the Primal Spirit: The Creative, hexagram #1. These four lines highlight the necessary progressive changes required before one steps into directing their power effectively. Their individual guidance, in the order of their position, as follows:
Once these issues are addressed, allowing one to penetrate the objective truth and take the necessary actions to support that truth, one becomes seen and experienced by others as an example to be followed, as they contemplate the truth of their own lives. The tower that affords the broadest view is the healing model for all.
With the strength afforded by surmounting the limitations to objective contemplation, one is fortified to direct the dynamic Spirit energy of the Creative, the life force itself. This is the optimal arrangement, a mature, broadminded leader who directs the life force toward the true needs of the interconnected whole.
The Creative is the active side of infinity. What’s at question is how that energy will be directed. As shamans point out, the life force can be directed toward good or evil deeds. Both can be manifested on a grand scale. Leadership that contemplates the true needs of the interconnected self, and the interconnected universe, is best fit to direct the power of the Creative.
Contemplate with humility, objectivity, and equanimity from the heart center, as you direct the creative force of your life and assess the intent of others.

True maturity entails taking full responsibility for the self. It entails taking who you are, what you got in this life, and molding it into shape, into a shape that you can fully embrace, respect, and love. True maturity means detaching from that which first molded you so that you may mold yourself anew, into that which is truly you. True maturity involves letting the self do this and letting others whom you mold and whom have molded you do this as well. In the end everyone gains, because everyone matures into full responsibility for themselves, into beings having taken on the full task of making something of life. Go and let go with encouragement, with high expectations for self and others. With impeccability and good intentions, take on the task of maturing, knowing that it is the fullest expression of love, for self and other, and that it is the true and noble work of a lifetime.
