When it seems as if all avenues of change have been tried and failed there is still always something else to rely on, and that is chance. Let chance be your new guide if you have tried everything and nothing has worked to aid you in your search for change, for new life, for transformative experiences. Let chance open you to new possibilities. Rather than plot and plan, intend and declare every little thing in your life, try letting go instead. Try letting the energy of the day lead you into something unaccounted for, unknown, and unforeseen. Sometimes the best laid plans are best laid aside. Give chance a chance.

When we clean house, whether mentally, physically in the body, or in our outer reality, we make room for something new to come in. Even the simple acts of letting go of an old idea or vacuuming our rooms can leave us feeling that something has changed. Letting go of something old that no longer serves us, an old habit for instance, can open us up to new possibilities. Stubborn ideas, when let go of, free us to perhaps try some new, more enlightened ideas. A certain sense of freedom and lightness results when we clear out, and thus a moment’s pause in the emptying offers a moment’s pause before we fill it up again that may be life changing. Pause, take a breath, and see what happens!

Let go of old ideas of the self as you inch forward into new life, as you change and adopt new, more positive behaviors, as you change your thoughts and move forward towards a new self. To leave behind that which no longer works is to allow for change, to open up to new possibilities, and to be willing to see what else life has to offer. When something is let go of, room is made for something new.

True maturity entails taking full responsibility for the self. It entails taking who you are, what you got in this life, and molding it into shape, into a shape that you can fully embrace, respect, and love. True maturity means detaching from that which first molded you so that you may mold yourself anew, into that which is truly you. True maturity involves letting the self do this and letting others whom you mold and whom have molded you do this as well. In the end everyone gains, because everyone matures into full responsibility for themselves, into beings having taken on the full task of making something of life. Go and let go with encouragement, with high expectations for self and others. With impeccability and good intentions, take on the task of maturing, knowing that it is the fullest expression of love, for self and other, and that it is the true and noble work of a lifetime.

Sending you love,

When you think you can’t do something, try again. When you feel limited, be open. When you find yourself stuck, free your mind of all thoughts. When you turn in an old direction, turn away and go in another. You are in control, but sometimes it isn’t control you need. Sometimes you just need the freedom to give yourself permission to let go of control, to free the mind and just be open. When you do that something new and different is bound to happen, perhaps even something seemingly magical. Give it a try and see what happens. You might just be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is!
