“The wounded frequently want to hurt others. Meanness is not always involved but an unconscious bitterness that wants to control. The worst wounds are not always physical. Some who have suffered psychological wounds are bent on full payment whether or not it is due. The pity of it is, the wounded is the only one that cannot escape. Pain and unforgiveness are replayed day after day—as though sadness is an honorable reason never to heal. Whole lifetimes are given to demanding respect and veneration—for no other reason than life has dealt them a wound, a wound that would heal if there were a little love.” – From A Cherokee Feast of Days, Volume 2, Joyce Sequichie Hifler

A Soulbyte is a spark of the infinitesimal, a portion of the endless wisdom and the magic from which we all come, to which we all innately have access, and to which we will all one day return.
Our Daily Soulbytes are channeled messages posted early in the morning. They are meant as support and helpful guidance for navigating life’s many twists and turns. We encourage all of our readers to feel the energy of each day themselves and to make responsible choices and decisions.

Balance remains the most important key to good health on all levels of being, mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. Without balance the whole self is not fully present or in charge to make good decisions, or able to sustain life in an evolving manner. Taking responsibility for the self, as a full-fledged adult is perhaps the most important aspect of maintaining balance. Without balance one becomes a victim. But to override that is simply a matter of deciding that it’s your life, after all, and that you are in change of every aspect of it, within and without. When you let things slide there is no one to blame except yourself and your own decision to do so. Balance, at its best, means juggling everything that comes to you, keeping yourself aloft so that each day begins with the joyous anticipation of a job to be done well and ends with the joyous knowledge that indeed it was!

Strive for balance at all times. That means, keeping a certain state of calmness, within and without, that permeates your being so that all levels of self are aligned, on the same page so to speak. To be on the same page means that your mind’s chatter is reduced, your physical stress is reduced, your central nervous system is calm and your spirit is satisfied. Such balance allows for something else to come through, the creative. With the creative on board just about anything can happen. Notice the state of your physical self first and do the right thing to get it into a calm and relaxed state. From there everything else will fall into place and a hint of the creative will follow soon after.

Let not timidity keep you from life. Face your fears each day. Rather than letting them dominate, dominate them with unrelenting fierceness. The fox on the hunt knows no fear; it only knows what it wants and needs. The fragile butterfly does not fear the path to the flower. The mole does not fear the earth it digs through. It is natural to be fearless. And yet the human heart has learned things that keep it limited and safe. But at what cost? Find the way to break through old patterns. Without doubt proceed forward into new life, certain of your success. It’s as natural as can be!

What one great thing are you intending to do with your life? What have you still not accomplished? Is it truly a desire, a must-do? Or is it an obsession that has no real value, no meaning? What one great thing have you thus far done that Mother Earth will thank you for, that nature will know you by? Oftentimes, the one great thing is no simpler than speaking to the plants that grow at your feet and letting them know you care. Or touching a tree and admiring its beauty. Or letting a wild animal free to roam its natural habitat unimpeded. May your one great thing be acceptable and fulfilling to you in all ways, but may it also simply be a word in the direction of another that is unexpectedly kind.
