Know yourself. Get to know and understand yourself, how you tend to operate, what triggers you to act or to defend, what causes you to stress out, to overdo, to fall into childish patterns of behavior. In knowing yourself the goal is to confront all those things about yourself that stand in the way of your progress, to free yourself from them so that you may arrive at a place of humility, love and compassion for yourself and others; for in knowing yourself you will know and understand everyone else as well. Get to know yourself in the deepest way so that you may experience life in the deepest way as well.
Suspend judgment. Avoid the pitfalls of judging the self as well as others, for judgments are merely excuses for getting to the truth about the self. They are projections thrust outwardly that are better dealt with inside the self in a nonjudgmental way. Without judgment work within the self to more deeply know and explore the self so that you may continually evolve. With love, kindness and compassion be okay with who you are, striving always for clarity and deeper knowledge.
True prosperity is the accumulation of knowledge. Knowledge is knowing based on experience. Experience is the ability to go with the flow, to allow the self to be affected by life’s unfolding. An accumulation of knowledge by experience of life results in a sense of prosperity that is fulfilling and gratifying. Do not be afraid of life but embrace it fully, both the good and the bad, for that is the way to fulfillment and a sense of peace that is satisfying, leaving the door open to an eagerness for more. Life, enjoy it!
Contentment begins and ends within. It is only from within the self that any peace will come, that any sense of belonging or satisfaction will arise, for the self is the only one who can bring about what is desired. From within comes all that you seek in the world. Only the self has the answers to all the questions you ask, the resolutions to all that you confront, the answer to which direction to proceed in next. Sit calmly, go within, and wait. The answer will surely come.
It’s your own soul that needs attention. The process of knowing the self at the deepest level is how you will grow during your lifetime. There is no need to consider anyone else’s journey except your own. Once you’ve figured out who you really are and what you should be doing that is promoting of a healthy, balanced, and loving self then you can think about how to help others. But you can’t really help another until you’ve first helped yourself.
