Most people think of themselves as merely physical while others think of themselves as both physical and spiritual. Far fewer think of themselves as a conglomerate of many lives and many souls. There are so many options, but which is right? And does it matter? Whether or not one has a perspective on life as anything more than what it is, a physical life on Earth, there are many aspects to consider and get into alignment with. Beyond the physical there are the mental, the emotional, and the feeling aspects of being human. These alone add tremendously to human beingness and their balance is crucial to maturing, knowing the self, and attaining fuller experience and potential. So, though there may be much more to life than just the physical, start there and get all that is now in you calm and settled so you can live your best life going forward. Whatever else comes along after that will then be able to fit in nicely!
Remain grounded even while you seek spiritual awareness, for spiritual awareness will do no good if it is not grounded in reality. The reality of life on Earth is your true reality, where you have come to work on and evolve the self. The reality of spiritual awareness is equally important but only in that it be used to enhance the work of the life you are in. So keep a good balance as you seek to enhance yourself in both material and spiritual ways. Let one work with the other to both teach and advance you and let neither one nor the other dominate.
Continue on your path to groundedness in the life you are in, figuring out why you are there, what to do next, and how to make the most of it. Often, life takes over and the unfolding of a day is directed by what is happening around you and outside of you, but you can redirect your attention inward and begin to ask some hard questions that may enlighten and redirect your attention so that those questions may be answered with wisdom from within the self.
Ground yourself in knowing that you have within you all that you need to progress upon a path of change that is lasting and beneficial.
Keep your feet on the ground, even as you seek connection with your spirit. For you will find your spirit as much in this world as any other, for that spirit reverberates with all the energies of Mother Earth, in her air and sunlight, in her trees and wind, in her stars and waters. For like the spirit of Mother Earth your own spirit resonates within and without. Being grounded means being of the world of Mother Earth as well as of the world of Spirit, matter and ether both. In this manner find your place in the life you are in and rejoice in the simplicity of that—life itself!
Maintain inner stability at all times. Place yourself under house arrest by keeping yourself to a certain standard of inner control. Stay grounded and centered even while you are pulled in a direction you no longer wish to go in. Stay connected to your spirit, the part of you that is often neglected and yet which is you. With inner control of yourself, the way forward may be more measured, contained, and bearable, all the things that make progress in a new direction possible, for to say you are going to do something is one thing, but to actually do it is another. Action takes discipline and commitment, and that’s also how to keep your inner house in order and yourself on your path of heart, with intent.
