True balance requires a constant giving and receiving, taking in and transforming what is taken in into dynamic energy. At first, what is taken in will be used by the self for energy and what is given will be practical, but eventually what is taken in should be love and what is given should be love. When one is in perfect harmonious balance this is what is in constant flow, within and without, the energy of love.

Let not disputes of the world destroy the loving heart. Keep the heart always open, knowing that the world is in a changing phase and all that now dominates life will soon pass. Everything changes. In the meantime, remain heart-centered and loving, for even in the best of times that is the best way to be. With heart-centered loving there is no dispute, there is only loving kindness, and with loving kindness all will be well.

It’s unfortunate when kindness is not practiced, when compassion is left out of human interactions, when love is given short shrift. These three things are, however, what the future must look like: kind, compassionate and loving. Things are already looking pretty bleak. Best to start practicing now.
