If you decide to live life on your own terms then be prepared to deal with the consequences. Not every way is a way that will bring fulfillment. Not every way is a way that  is full of heart. Not every way is a way that offers the best opportunities. Not every way takes into consideration the greater good. However you decide to live your life this time around will also determine how you live your life the next time around. Spend some time in deep contemplation. Ask yourself some hard questions and decide what is right for you to do now and what your next step should be. To walk a path with heart, or not?

Have patience with yourself just as the bird sitting upon a nest has patience. Soon your eggs too will hatch and new life will come forth. In the meantime envision that new life and what you want it to look like. See it unfolding. See yourself living it. Even as the bird feels the eggs beneath it in the nest it has created it does not question what comes next, for it lives the program as it exists. Humans however can use imagination to bring forth new life, interrupting an old program that no longer works. For the bird, it’s one dream only, but for humans the ability to dream a new dream at any time is truly a gift.

Beyond human experience lies what you call the great unknown. In true reality it is the other side of life and full of great knowledge, not the unknown at all but the source of all possibility, transparent and fully available to explore. In your dreams you may tap into its infinite possibilities, yet do you believe what you experience? Some day you will know. Until then, trust all that you are shown so that you learn the simple art of trusting your experiences, in sleeping and waking life.

It’s not easy to decide to set out on a new path, to become more fully yourself, to drop old habits and move into a flowing state of being at one with the universe, but it is more than possible. Ask for help and guidance, for the things you truly need, and if truly a path of heart and truly a path worth traveling your way will be accompanied by the best of companions, seen and unseen. After a few false starts, notice how easy it becomes, how many things fall into place, and how normal the new you begins to feel. Eventually, even that new you will be challenged to change, but for now stick to your intended path, and good luck!

Remember that you’ve done this all before, this life. You already know the outcome though it may not be in your conscious memory. At some point you will remember why and how to resolve all the issues that currently plague you. In the meantime, you do know that you have the strength to persevere, looking always for meaning and the next right step as you journey through life. Don’t stop seeking answers. They will come, slowly at first and then more clearly, as you travel your path with heart.
