Remind yourself of all that you have in your life, the people, the places, the things that bring you joy. Even the smallest of things and the tiniest of creatures can show you the meaning of gratitude. Let yourself finally acknowledge that you are blessed in some way that you could not see before, for everyone is blessed in some way. Even those in the direst of circumstances have something to look forward to, something to be thankful for, and something to give. Let yourself be in on the gift of gratitude and how it only multiplies once you acknowledge and accept it into your life. All it takes is a simple thank you, expressed in gratitude for the simplest of things.

Create good space around you and inside you. Take care of yourself so that your energy is flowing, your stamina readily available, and your body healthy. Make space within yourself for all that you wish to see in the world and in those you love, for you cannot help another if you do not carry within yourself those characteristics you wish to see in others. Sometimes that’s all you can do, change the self, and then wait patiently for slow change to follow your good example. Create good space within and without in your own personal world and then see what happens.

A warrior keeps life sacred, striving always to find the next step on a path with heart, holding the self accountable, making decisions and choices in keeping with the tenets of loving kindness and compassion as part of that sacred journey. For a warrior knows that a lifetime is over in the blink of an eye, and so a warrior keeps sacred each step, each thought, each action, as if they were the last. A warrior keeps each moment of each day sacred, no matter what is happening in the outside world.
