Keep your two feet on the ground, stationed on planet Earth, even as your spirit soars and your heart yearns for other worlds, other experiences and other knowledge. Like a rooted tree stand firmly attached even though your branches reach outward to embrace all that is. To be human is a privilege, with the opportunity to live among so much beauty and pain, so much love and despair, so much delight and intensity, the opposites that make life a divine privilege. Make the most of your experiences and make your time there of the utmost importance, for you and your life, in the great turmoil of it all, matter immensely.

Suspend judgment. Avoid the pitfalls of judging the self as well as others, for judgments are merely excuses for getting to the truth about the self. They are projections thrust outwardly that are better dealt with inside the self in a nonjudgmental way. Without judgment work within the self to more deeply know and explore the self so that you may continually evolve. With love, kindness and compassion be okay with who you are, striving always for clarity and deeper knowledge.

Persist. Let not the tiny things bother you or keep you from your most important actions. Sometimes the journey is a turning away rather than a forward motion and yet even in those small turnings there is motion. Sometimes it isn’t the time for big steps but it’s still necessary and right to maintain movement in a new direction. Even when the goal is not clear keep focused on what is to come, for it will soon be in your grasp.

Settle into the idea that you are spirit first and foremost and that your physical body is a temporary vehicle that you will one day discard as you venture on into new life without it. Treasure that body while you reside in it, taking care of it as you would your own child, for it is as precious as that. Just as Mother Nature takes care of all her creatures, providing them with what they need to survive, attend to yourself equally well, for you are responsible for your own body. One day you will realize your separateness, but for now strive for unity, kindness and love, for that is what will aid you the most.
