Stay in alignment with that which is positive. Be proactive rather than stagnant. Be protective rather than careless. Provide yourself with that which is healthy, nourishing, and good, for body and soul. The soul needs positivity as much as the body does. The inner person needs as much attention as the outer person does, perhaps even more. Attend to the whole self with positivity and an attitude that says, “I deserve, I am worthy, I am beauty, I am love, within and without.” Now that’s positive!

Learn self-regulation, the art of inner self-control, so that no matter where you are, who you are with, or what disturbs you, you may take over that which seeks to overwhelm you, whether from within or without. Self-regulation involves making choices that are productive, beneficial, and energy wise. Self-regulation means taking responsibility for the self, in all ways. It means knowing what you need and what you don’t need, what is good for you and what is not, but most of all, it means paying attention to what your physical body tells you. For your physical body, where you spend your life, is like a barometer. It feels pressure, and you can detect it and learn to regulate it. Learn the art of self-regulation first by getting to know your body, the home of your Soul. This may first entail changing some long held beliefs about yourself and learning something new about yourself that you never imagined. Self-regulation is enhanced by learning calming exercises. Learn to breathe deeply. Learn what it means to be in balance in your body. Learn that, yes, you do have the ability to control what is happening inside you, whether generated from within or without. For you are indeed master of your own body.

Get in alignment with your body, your companion vehicle through life, the home of your Soul. Listen to what it has to tell you. Your body has its own means of survival, not the least of which your Soul has access to, though your mind may not. Sit quietly and speak to your body in a serious manner so that it knows you are serious too. Find your way to taking better care of it, naturally, and with your Soul guiding the process allow for better balance inside the wonderful machine that is you, body and Soul humming along. Ask your body how to do this and it will tell you in the most natural way, as only a body can, pain being its loudest language. Pain, whether mental or physical, is your body trying to tell you something. What does it mean? Only you can find the answer, and only you can do something about it that is in alignment with your Soul. Listen, pay attention, and react in a manner that is right for you, body and Soul.

Take care of your physical body. As much as you seek to take care of your mental and spiritual self, do not forget that your physical body deserves attention too. It is your vehicle through life, your sailing ship, the body your Soul has selected for you in this lifetime. And so do not forget to tend to it. Mend it with rest and sleep, with good food and nutrition, with time for calmness and peace, as well as work and play. If your body is not in good shape neither is the rest of you. Even a strong spirit will not thrive in a tired and depleted body. If you let your spirit take care of your body, you will naturally be taking care of everything else that you are too, for it knows you better than anyone. It will tell you what is wrong and what is right, how to correct and how to proceed. Listen to your spirit, for it has only your greater good in mind. Give your body its proper place, as home to your spirit, your Soul in this lifetime. Hone its shape, keep it in tiptop form so that your journey is smooth and without incident. For you are both body and spirit, and each is of equal importance and value. Let the inner you decide what’s right for the outer you. And with them in synch, your body will be pleased and your spirit will rejoice.

Find your way to reconciliation within yourself, to peace of mind and calmness of heart. In so doing, find your way to reconciliation of all that you are; human in this life, spirit in another. Accept your humanness and your journey now as one of learning. As you live this life accept that you will make mistakes, that you will not get everything right. It is often the best way to learn. But keep in your human mind and human heart the truth that there is so much more to who you are. Seek to connect with your spirit too, for that also is part of your life’s learning experience, the reconciliation of your human side with your spirit side, gaining knowledge of and joining these two separate parts. You see, these two parts of yourself really do want to find each other again. Will you let them?
