If you leave the door open who knows what might get in. The choice becomes whether it is better to keep the door closed and deal with what is or keep the door open and deal with what might come. Both choices present their challenges. Both choices present their opportunities. But is one choice better than the other? Some say it’s better to keep the door closed, others that it’s better to keep the door open. Are there ulterior motives to keeping the door open? Are there fears that keep the door closed? Be wary of thought demons. They often arrive when the mind is idle. Steer clear of them as often as possible. Speak positive mantras aloud to scare them away. You will know them by their age, by how old they are, long ago thoughts that once held you bound. You will know them by their tone, a voice not your own. You will know them by their message, no longer appropriate, desired or need. Thought demons steal your energy, throw you back into old places and impede your progress. Stay alert, stay present and stay focused on your path of heart, the direction you know is right and which is your heart’s desire.

Prepare now for the changes that are to come. Prepare the self in all ways but especially emotionally, mentally and spiritually, for the spirit, the mind and the emotions will face the greatest onslaught. The changes that are coming have not been experienced in a long time and yet there is a slim possibility that they will be sidestepped and the world as you know it will continue. Develop strong internal mechanisms that will allow you to go inward during times of duress, to visit the calmness cave within, to rest and rejuvenate and wait out the crisis.
