Outside forces may cause uncalled for change but for inner change to take place the forces of the personality must be called into play, intent and discipline being the two most helpful. Intent may be as simple as a statement spoken once and yet with the force of a potent windstorm. Discipline must be enacted and given utmost attention, for that is the real harbinger of change, the ability to be consistent. When time itself suggests change, bring in intent and discipline to pave the way to a new path with heart. And then, see what happens!

Discipline is necessary if life is to get into perfect balance, discipline that extends into every aspect of life. And yet discipline is only one part of what is needed and must never become the only thing that drives you in life. Perfect balance requires more than just discipline, more than just the intention of being disciplined. It requires the ability to be fluid, to go with the flow, to change and accept change, to take responsibility for your life no matter what happens. For life is like a river flowing naturally, energetically alive, and yet even a river does not always rage, does not always swell over its banks, nor dry up either. A river changes with the seasons and yet its discipline lies within its course, its direction. Whether contained or not, it flows in one direction. That is discipline. Be like a river. Seek fluidity and yet remain disciplined, heading in one direction, always upon your path of heart.

Make a plan and stick to it. It’s called discipline, and it’s the only way to really enact the change you so desire, the change you know is so badly needed in your life. Rampant entitlement solves no problems, it only creates more. It is only in curtailing entitlement and in unseating deeply embedded ideas, that you deserve something and are special, that change for the better will begin to take root. Enact change with discipline because it is the right thing to do. Begin with the self, but realize that if you change it will begin to effect everyone around you too. And don’t you want to make an impact in the world around you? Make a plan that will change you, the thing you know most needs to change about yourself right now. It all begins with you. No one else can do it for you. Make a plan and take the first step. And remember, you CAN do it!

It’s transition time! What’s the key to change and transition? For change to take place discipline is required. You can’t have one without the other. Discipline requires will. You can’t have one without the other. Will requires intent and intent requires spirit and when spirit is lacking little happens. Spirit is the inner self who knows, directs, and guides. So when there is lack turn to spirit and find out what’s going on. There may be a very good reason and until you find out what it is difficulties may persist, but spirit knows why. Put your discipline, will, and intent toward finding out what spirit knows. Resolve your inner spiritual difficulties so that outer transition can take place, and then the lasting change you so desire will happen naturally. Free your spirit. That’s the key!

Discipline, stamina, and hard work are the necessary components of change. A tiny seed lying in the ground must use tremendous force to burst through its casing and make its way through the solid earth, past all the obstacles in its path, if it is to make it to the light of the world. So is it with human beings too. They must muster all their intent to stay focused and disciplined if they are to succeed at changing themselves. There is no easy path, but once on the changing path stamina becomes second nature, discipline its fuel, and the hard work that it takes to achieve a goal becomes like an elixir, sought after for its satisfying effects. A deep sense of gratitude, self-satisfaction, and elation eventually arise. In this case all of it well-earned. Keep on changing! You won’t regret it!
