When the weather is bad outside then often the weather inside of you is bad in some way too. Perhaps it’s dreary outside, making you feel dreary inside. Perhaps it’s cold outside, making you feel cold inside as well. Sometimes a sunny day keeps you happy but a cloudy day keeps you down. At other times, a dreary day may be indicating that it’s time to go inward, to withdraw and contemplate things on a deeper level. Perhaps a cooler day indicates that it’s time to warm your heart, to stir good and beautiful feelings of love inside you so that you are fully ready to express your love when called upon. Perhaps a sunny day is just to remind you to be grateful for all that you have, just as a cloudy day is just to remind to remember how contented and at peace you really are. What are you really feeling inside you today? It might be something other than you think.

There is no telling what the outcome of events will be, but we can tell you, from our perspective on the other side of life as you know it, that choices do matter. Take time to sit and contemplate the outcome of decisions, to envision what is needed that is best for the greater whole, and then what is needed to act upon that vision. To act on the decision that will be for the greatest good is to be in alignment with something outside of the self, outside of and beyond the ego self. To make decisions based on the filter of the heart is the best method of achieving goals and outcomes that will serve the many, rather than decisions based on the desires and needs of the few, which will, in the end, only serve the few.

When you notice that your temper is rising, that your mood is down, that your thoughts of the future are grim, immediately get grounded in truth. Get grounded in a more productive mindset, in a more positive outlook, in a more optimistic trajectory. Do something empowering today. Help someone who needs you. Offer a smile. Pass along a pleasant greeting.  Notice the beauty that surrounds you, above and below. Find a way to once again look upon life with the hope and joy of an innocent child, and expect the best day ever!

When things seem to be at their worst, the best thing to do is to shift out of the mood of depression and suffering and into a place of calm certainty that by changing the self, even a little bit, the whole world will also shift a little bit too. When you see someone walking into a room with a glowing smile on their face, don’t you wonder what it is about them that makes you want to smile too? When there is laughter in the air, don’t you want to get in on the joke or the joy? When there is some delicious smell in the kitchen, don’t you want to taste whatever is cooking? A sense of calmness, a smile, laughter and a delicious smell all promote something good. Everyone has the opportunity, every day, to do the same.

When tensions arise, reground yourself by actually putting your feet on the ground and feeling the energy of the Earth. Reconnect yourself to that grounding Mother. Let yourself be held in her grip for more than just a second, and feel how she supports and nurtures you. Let yourself be in her energy long enough to find that you also have her grounding ability within yourself. Let yourself admit that you have this within at all times. You always have the energy to shift yourself out of one place into another, out of one mood and into another. You have, at all times, within yourself, the ability to ground and nurture. When you ground yourself, you help the whole world get more grounded too.

All our love,
The Soul Sisters, Jan & Jeanne
