In calmness begin the day. Once again remain open and eager for the universe to fill you with what is right for you on this day. No day is more important than another and yet all days are equally important. Let your heart, mind and spirit open to the gifts from the universe that are waiting for you. They have always been waiting. Are you ready to receive them now? Allow them to come to you by being empty and open at the same time, the ultimate state of reception.
Begin the week with emptiness, with all expectation emptied from your mind. Let your mind be still and your heart be open. True openness wants nothing. True openness needs nothing. True openness desires nothing. Let only openness and emptiness be your state of mind, body, and spirit. Let this openness and emptiness sit calmly waiting within you. In such calm waiting, with a heart that is open and agreeable, trust that you will be fulfilled, for that is the law of the universe. Where there is an opening, it will be filled.
We are in a time of short-lived truce. Threat of violence has favored conformity over the challenge of liberty. The I Ching, in hexagram 37, depicts our time as one of the Darkening of the Light or Wounding of the Bright. Energetically, the dark forces predominate and movement is ill-advised.
In such times, we are counseled to maintain the brightness of our candle in the hidden sanctuary of our hearts, with the resolute conviction that the sun will indeed rise again, and that sanity and morality will prevail. Though outwardly yielding, inwardly we act through love with wisdom.
More powerful than an armory of weaponry is the substance of our thoughts and feelings. When we consistently state to ourselves an intention, with the gusto of true desire, our subconscious mind will be drawn to this charged suggestion and ultimately bring it to fruition. Our confidence increases as we experience the truth of this divine conscious/subconscious relationship and as we receive the gifts of all that we have requested.
This is not about wishing, pining, envying or empty imagining for that which we desire, but truly living, in the mind, the knowing and tempered excitement that our seed of desire has been planted, and whose growth is well-attended. Love with wisdom grants to all, without discrimination, the full materialization of their own desires, with the stated caveat that it be for the greater good of all.
Love with wisdom also recognizes the need to prune last year’s deadened remains to allow for new growth. If we hoard old habits that no longer serve us, there is insufficient space for new life. Detachment is pruning that frees the energy for latent and desired new growth to come to life.
Love with wisdom knows that good and evil are equal members of all that is. Love with wisdom knows that the interplay of these forces in the times we are in is essential to the higher refinement of love, the greatest opportunity for life in human form. I quote, in depth, from a book entitled Your Forces And How To Use Them, written by Prentice Mulford in 1887:
“Force by the same law may now be acting on you, but force bringing mainly unhappy results; for being so surrounded by evil or immature thought, we unconsciously open our minds to it, and send back more or less of gloomy, despondent, peevish, or other unhealthy thought. It is almost impossible to avoid this, since we live in a cloud of such thought-element, and our minds may be trained by life-long habit to give way to it. We are unconsciously daily co-operating with this order of thought. We now seek to turn this thought into a higher, better channel; and it is turned into such channel when we, if but for a moment, desire the welfare of all people, and exclude not from such blessing the person to us most repulsive, hateful, and disgusting; for every thought of ours, as sent out, is a force in nature; and the more freighted it is with good to all, the greater is that force; and the more of good it sends to others, the more good through its re-actionary effort comes back to us. A thought is not an “idle breath,” here one moment, gone into oblivion the next: and if but once a day we say in all sincerity, “May the Infinite Spirit of Good bless all men and women!” we shall find, when the grand sum-total of all our life is footed up, that the moment so occupied was of all the most profitable; for the force we sent out in thinking this may have been the only one which penetrated the murky thought atmosphere so prevalent all about us, and, reaching upward, brought down to us its corresponding ray of higher, purer, life-giving and constructive force; for every thought of real good brings to us its like in return.”
Love, expressed with the wisdom here so eloquently described, is how we advance ourselves to higher love rather than be consumed by the flames of hatred, revenge and blame. Thoughts of ruin are indeed all about us, but we have the power to exercise love with wisdom as we train our thoughts upon the greater good for all.
May the efforts of all who feel such in their hearts collectively restore the light to our world.
The Tarot delivered me the 10 of Swords, Ruin, to represent the state of things leading into today, and the 2 of Cups, Love, as the energy of today. How does ruin turn into love?
The culprit of ruin is an undisciplined, warring force seeking complete disruption and failure, a marplot who loves to overthrow the happiness of others by ruining all intellect and moral qualities. This energy is amply being reflected on the outer world plane at this time. Joyce Sequichie Hifler, in A Cherokee Feast Of Days Volume III (p.66), states:
“When someone is angry or hurt or spoiled, they tend to want everyone to pay for it. Don’t… Go on with your life, but be alert. Know in your heart and in your spirit that you cannot be put down. Hold tight to your common sense and know you are spiritually protected always.”
Then of course we must face the inner truth of this outer mirror, reflected so powerfully to us at this time. Who is this inner encroacher, this meddler disrupting our inner true peace? Responsibility, ultimately, resides with the conscious mind, whose thoughts and beliefs are the major source of suggestions to the subconscious mind.
Of course, we receive countless hetero-suggestions each day, meaning the conscious and unconscious taking in of suggestions from outside influences. Nonetheless, responsibility for raising these suggestions to conscious scrutiny rests with the conscious mind.
The royal couple who govern our inner and outer selves represent the conscious and subconscious minds. The true divine abilities of this couple has been known for centuries. In the 16th century, Paracelsus stated, “Whether the object of your faith be real or false, you will nevertheless obtain the same effects.”
This translates today as, “you manifest what you believe.” The subconscious mind will generate your mood, state of health, and your position in life based upon the thoughts and beliefs of your conscious mind. This is at the heart of the paradigm shift awakening within us.
We possess the ultimate power over our lives. And that power initiates from what we think, believe, and intend. Even Victor Frankl, while incarcerated in Auschwitz, could sustain his life based upon his attitude and imagination, both strong sources of suggestion to the subconscious mind. The times we are living in ask us to wisely exercise this truth.
Whether we are aware of it or not, our conscious minds are in a very intimate relationship with our subconscious minds, determining the course of our earthly existence. In truth, we exist in constant trance, manifesting our innermost thoughts. When we practice responsible autosuggestion, we are bringing conscious intent to the construction of our lives.
Love—Thoth Tarot Deck
We arrive at responsible autosuggestion at the heart center, where we learn the truth from the High Self. Modesty is the requirement of the ego in this communication. If the ego can surrender its narcissism, its willfulness, and its bad temper it will be granted the necessary clarity to know what to intend.
This acquiescence to the truth is the ego’s expression of love to its subconscious, as it delivers suggestions to grow and advance the overall needs of the Self. This royal union of selfless truth, with its creative manifestation in physical form, is how that which was once ruinous becomes love.
The future is unknown, and yet it is also fully known to your deeper self. Look inward and see if you can determine what will happen today, what will unfold and how you will handle it. If you do this on a daily basis you will begin to see what is being implied, that you do indeed know everything. Study how your body is already preparing for the day ahead. As soon as you wake up notice its mood, its predisposition, its stance. Are you fully present, fully alert and fully in balance? All of these things will affect your day. Center yourself in your heart center for the day ahead and see how things unfold. From there you will see that you did know exactly what to expect, for your heart center is your center of self, the fully knowing self.
