A Soulbyte is a spark of the infinitesimal, a portion of the endless wisdom and the magic from which we all come, to which we all innately have access, and to which we will all one day return.

Our Daily Soulbytes are channeled messages posted early in the morning. They are meant as support and helpful guidance for navigating life’s many twists and turns. We encourage all of our readers to feel the energy of each day themselves and to make responsible choices and decisions.

Let not the vicissitudes of life get in the way of your spiritual growth. The inner path, the path of direct heart centered growth, is the path of the spirit, the part of you that does not judge or condemn but only focuses on going where it knows to go, onward and upward. Know that your spirit does not grow sad, does not falter, does not grow weary. It is patient as it waits for you to remember its existence, as it waits for you to catch up to its urgings, and as it waits for you to follow its path. The path of spirit is the evolutionary path of true growth in any life. Find that path and you have found your purpose.

When you fully take responsibility for yourself you realize that no one deserves anything, that in fact to deserve is a serious misnomer. Deserving implies that you are owed and no one is owed anything. With life as an evolutionary process there is only the accumulation of knowledge and wisdom, of lessons and actions that lead to learning how to be responsible, to take on responsibilities, to truly and fully take on the life you are in. Rather than feel you deserve anything, look instead with awe at the challenges in your life, and with great wonder accept them as your next chance to gain knowledge and wisdom, to grow and expand, and to fully live, perhaps in a completely new way.

Undercurrents of balance and harmony ride beneath the waves of disharmony. Notice how angry an ocean can appear, how choppy the waves, how fierce the surf as it slams upon the shoreline. And yet, at another depth all is calm and life goes on; the fish swim as if no such storm rails above. Sink into the depths of inner harmony and balance to regain equilibrium during times of stress. Swim among the calm waters of your inner self, knowing full well that you have what you need within you to weather through any storm. And remember, the weather always changes.

Too much introspection can lead to a failure to connect while too much extraversion can lead to a failure to discover that there is a vast inner world, larger and more interesting than the beloved outer world. Too much of any good thing is just too much; balance is needed. Find ways to strike a balance so that both the inner self and the outer self are fulfilled. With this intent consciously in mind, look for ways to amplify or tone down in one area or another, to turn inward when appropriate and outward when the time is right. Learn to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong in any given minute. Learn the distinct differences between the inner self and the outer self, and pay attention to the needs of each, so that you will begin to know what balance feels like.

Maybe you don’t really want to change yourself and maybe you don’t really want things around you to change either. Maybe you just want things to remain the same, indefinitely. That’s okay. But the truth is that change is happening all the time, in big ways and in small ways that are imperceptible. The truth is that change is continuous. One day you are bound to notice and wonder, Where have I been? How have I not noticed? A slight shift in thinking, by establishing an openness to change and a delight in being part of its great unfolding, will leave you in awe rather than scratching your head. Embracing the awe of it all reduces fear and worry and invites in a different kind of wonder at the beauty of it all. Embrace that!
