Place yourself at the center of an imaginary circle. How big is your circle? It doesn’t matter. From the center point you have access to everything within your circle; everything belongs to you. Imagine what you want inside the circle with you. What do you need and most want? You are in control. What you bring in affects you. What you leave out affects you. Imagine this circle as a bubble surrounding and protecting you. From it you can reach out or remain inside; it’s up to you. The illusion is that you are alone, but you are not. You are one circle among many, all living together, safe and protected alone and safe and protected as a mass; like a school of fish. You are part of a greater universe, and just as your little bubble is your responsibility so is the greater universe. You are inherently affected by everything and everything affects you. Such is life.

Find solace in knowing that you are surrounded, supported and valued. Whether you feel the energy of those who are present throughout your life or not, whether you notice an extra hand or not, whether you believe in sacred spirit help or not, be open, just in case. In case you might one day need it, be of open mind and open heart. Keep a place for spirit in your life so that it may impact you in the best way possible and so that it is acceptable to you. You are not alone, and perhaps that is the best and most helpful thing to keep in mind; you are not alone.

Keep mind attached to body so that you are aware of yourself at all times. With mind and body in alignment there is better balance than if mind goes off on its own, leaving the body to wander alone. With mind clear on its mission, to support the body in positive and healthy ways, there is a better chance that the body will remain in an advanced state of calm and contentment. An added bonus of mind and body in aware alignment is that spirit is also more noticeable and its actions more acceptable. With mind, body and spirit in synch all will be well.

Pace yourself. Watch your energy. Make use of the breath to reinvigorate and re-energize throughout the day. Pacing allows for calm assessment and study of how you use your energy, where it goes and whether for good or for waste. Good use of energy involves honing your desires, your creativity, and your enthusiasm into the best use of the energy you have on hand, while also encouraging new energy to form. Eat and sleep well. Take time to be in nature, the best of all healers. And sometimes, just sit in the sun. It will do you good.

Check your vitals. Are you calm and relaxed? Is your mind in a state of repose? Are your thoughts minimal and without charge? Is your heart center cool and empty while also warm and full? With your spirit present, your mind at rest, and your heart center open, declare yourself fit and full of vigor. These vital centers are as important as any technical vitals a doctor might check. Give yourself a checkup to start the day. If calmness and openness are not your present state, then work on yourself to get to a new state that will work in your favor and so that your spirit may emerge and be present throughout the day. Your calm spirit is the best doctor you will ever encounter.
