Chuck’s Place: Love Trumps Hate

Aspire to higher bands of love energy…

“Do not let the sun go down on your wrath.” (Ephesians 4:26-27) In modern terms this simply means, “don’t go to bed angry.” Certainly the calm of good will to all, before sleep, allows the body to release into restful rejuvenation as the mind goes off to dream, in the depths of infinity.

This nightly journey of mind, in its soul body, into the subtler dimensions of life, is full of encounters with the wandering souls of other sleepers in human form, as well as with those in soul states no longer attached to human bodies.

Robert Monroe, in his journeys beyond the body, charted the various bands of energy one can visit on one’s nightly journeys. The band of energy closest to earth Bob designated as the M band field. This energy, though subtler in composition than the physical body, is nonetheless focused upon the passions and desires of life in human form.

Many souls in M band have yet to fully accept their physical death and exist in a limbo state of private dream, a bardo, where their imagination recreates a life in human form, with its attempts to satisfy its physical longings. Souls in this state are dominated by need and are largely unawakened to their true state of being.

When we go to sleep with unsettled thoughts, or hate, our soul launches in a volatile state of energy that is naturally drawn to like-energy in the M band field. Typically, we arrive in M band with very little consciousness and find ourselves interacting with unknown souls with similar torments, either entering into their dreams or co-creating new ones with them.

Sometimes these are the dreams of intense emotion that generate nightmares. Other dreams find their impetus in what Freud called wish fulfillment, in the playing out of suppressed aggressive and sexual impulses.

The upshot of  all these encounters is an unsettling impact upon our waking consciousness, as our soul returns to its physical body. The download of these nefarious engagements typically casts a negative shadow upon the mood and thoughts of the day ahead.

The bands of energy that Bob Monroe mapped in infinity mimic the chakra centers in the physical body. These ascending chakras, from the root, at the base of the spine, to the crown, at the top of the head, reflect the transformational journey of energy from the grossest state, at the root of the spine, to the most refined, at the crown of the head. The journey of energy through these energy centers is the journey from crude passion and narcissism to refined all-inclusive love and oneness.

To achieve the level of refinement at the crown chakra, we must fall in love with life, with equanimity. At the heart center, for instance, we learn to love our enemies as ourselves.  This profound depth of love extends love to those whom are embroiled in hatred. This is how love trumps hate. Whereas hate has no room for love, love includes hate, in all its vitriolic and sadistic forms. Love only wants the best for all, including those whom hate.

When we end our day with detached, loving thoughts, we launch into infinity with our soul body drawn to the higher dimensions of love that reflects our waking thoughts and emotions. Furthermore, we interact with more enlightened souls who can shed their guidance and wisdom upon issues that engage us in waking life. And though we might not fully remember our encounters in infinity, we return deeply calmed, wiser and rejuvenated as we reenter our bodies and take on the day ahead. We enter with love and optimism, and look forward to the gifts to come.

These journeys into the higher bands of infinity also accrue to a growing awareness of the terrain beyond the physical body, where we will one day settle in as we embark upon our definitive journey, into life beyond the physical body at physical death. With increasing lucidity in sleep and waking life our lives are enriched now, as well as then.

The key to richness of life, now and then, is love. The more mature the love, the greater the wholeness and the acceptance that hate is simply a cruder form of love. Welcome its refinement that all might wake up to the overarching reign of love.

Loving intent for all,
Chuck

Beyond human experience lies what you call the great unknown. In true reality it is the other side of life and full of great knowledge, not the unknown at all but the source of all possibility, transparent and fully available to explore. In your dreams you may tap into its infinite possibilities, yet do you believe what you experience? Some day you will know. Until then, trust all that you are shown so that you learn the simple art of trusting your experiences, in sleeping and waking life.

Sending you love,

It’s possible to communicate beyond the veils…

Several months ago, I found out that the man who had abused me during my childhood had died. A few weeks after his death he appeared in a dream.

Putting his arm over my shoulder, he hugged me gently and spoke some kind words. In the dream he was very loving, not at all how I knew him in real life. It was a little disconcerting to say the least. I was not sure what to make of it.

Then again, two months after that, he came in another dream. I am lucid, fully conscious of dreaming in this dream, fully aware of being with him. I have no reaction to being in his presence; I am as calm as calm can be.

We sit opposite each other, foreheads almost touching, looking directly into each other’s eyes. Once again he is kind, concerned, as he states: “SHE says I did this to you,” and he glances to the side, as if looking at someone standing offstage.

Then, he gestures with his hands and a scene from my childhood appears between us, suspended in midair. It’s like looking at an old movie; in the scene he is abusing me. I nod at him, and say, “Yes, it’s true, you did that to me.” I have no reaction; I am perfectly calm as I see the scene play out and as I tell him the truth, that it actually happened.

Again, he repeats, “SHE says I did this to you,” and once again he gestures with his hands, putting them together as if praying and then pulling them apart, and as he pulls them apart another scene of him abusing me materializes.

“Did I do this to you?” he asks, incredulous.

Again, I nod at him, and say, “Yes, it’s true, you did that to me.”

We sit like this, head to head, for a long time as he repeats, over and over again, “SHE said I did this to you,” glancing over his right shoulder toward the SHE whom I feel standing off to the side, observing, as he materializes yet another scene of him abusing me and which I acknowledge as truth. Again, I have no reaction to any of the traumatic scenes playing out between us. I do not wish to blame or shame him. I am perfectly calm and emotionally neutral.

As this plays out I realize that he has no memory of the life he has just lived, that he can’t remember anything that he had done. It appears that he’s going through a life review with SHE as his guide. He has total amnesia and appears flabbergasted every time I tell him that he did all those things to me. It’s as if he’s hearing about it for the first time.

We look squarely into each other’s eyes and I can see that he’s being honest, he simply does not remember; he’s a clean slate, with no memory whatsoever.

At first, I think I’m being challenged to recant my own life story, but then I see that this is not the case, that SHE is his teacher, helping him to recapitulate the life just lived. SHE appears to know everything about him. I sense that SHE brought us together, to help him remember.

I intuit that everyone must recapitulate at death, that all memory of the life just lived is lost and must be brought back into consciousness so that all can be reviewed and reconciled with in order to move on into a higher plane of existence.

The setting of the dream is desert-like, empty except for some low adobe buildings in the distance, which I intuit are spartan living quarters. Low dry brush, desert grasses and sand stretch in every direction as far as the eye can see. There’s a kind of dull light, not dark, not light, just kind of overcast, the temperature neither hot nor cold but comfortable.

After going through countless scenarios of the abuse he inflicted on me, we get up and he takes me over to a pile of long scrolls of tapestry lying on the ground, the frameworks upon which he must weave his just-lived life as he recapitulates, creating a large tapestry to study, learn from and evolve from.

SHE tells me that everyone does it when they come over,” he says, and he suggests that I pick one up and create a tapestry too, but I tell him that I don’t need to do that, that I’ve already done it.

“I already did a recapitulation,” I say, “my books, you know.”

He nods, but I sense that he still doesn’t understand that he did all the things he’s been told he did. He’s an empty vessel, unable to grasp, totally clueless, but he understands from SHE that it’s his job now to remember and to weave the tapestry. It will take him a long time, he says, because he can’t remember a darned thing. He shakes his head in disbelief.

I sense how low his energy is, as if he’s depressed, stunned or traumatized by what he’s learning about himself. It feels as if he’s being slowly eased into knowing a little at a time about who he had been, not the kindly man I met in the first dream, nor who he appears to be now but a cold-hearted pedophile.

How interesting, I think, that his overall personality is gentle and kindly, that though he was a pedophile in his last life that may not be who he actually is in his spirit body, but that it was a persona he wore in order to learn something or challenge himself with.

Later, I tell him that I love him because I know that he is genuinely trying to fathom what he had done, and I sense that the work he has to do on himself is being attended to with diligence and honesty, that he really wants to get to the truth. And I can love him for that.

Recapitulation, I tell him, is the key to advancement. He nods when I say this, still muttering that he just can’t believe what he’s been told he did.

As I leave, I see him hanging up the framework, preparing to begin the job of building the tapestry with the truth. I am happy to have helped him verify that truth.

As I walk away, I am perfectly calm and at peace, knowing that indeed my own recapitulation of my abusive childhood is done. There will still be other things to recapitulate I’m sure, but that at least is fully done.

Sending love,

Jan

Chuck’s Place: High SOUL, Bringer of Dreams

High Soul behind the mist, never doubt it…

The settings and characters of dreams come from many dimensions of being, but it is one’s High SOUL, or High Self if you prefer, that brings the dream. We might become lucid and change the direction of a dream, but this is consciousness only responding to High SOUL’S challenge to move life in a new direction, not the ego originating its own dream.

If we are able to exercise faith by suspending judgment, and with great concentration, call upon High SOUL to respond to our request, we might indeed invoke a response from High SOUL in the most powerful of dream experiences. Nonetheless, the bringer of the requested dream remains the High SOUL.

Suspending judgment means suspending the dominance of the mental plane which tends to splinter our will. Thinking uses opposition and contrast to build its arguments and conclusions. Opposing thoughts inspire doubts, generating internal civil war. Civil war consumes the energy of the splintered mind, neutering the opportunity to reach the transpersonal dimension of being.

High SOUL resides in the transpersonal realm. To reach it we need focused energy intent on connection. Suspending judgment does not dismiss the value of rationality, it merely shelves it while it sets out to open to the possibility of direct communication with the Divine, that is its High SOUL.

Regardless of our ability to gather our energy for focused connection, High SOUL delivers us everyday its communications and blessings in the dreams it brings us. Even nightmares fit the bill!

To wake ourselves up from a nightmare is High SOUL seeing to our growth. To not attach to a nightmare is High SOUL teaching us to navigate. To be forewarned by a nightmare is High SOUL manifesting as guide.

Dreams of immoral delight are High SOUL revealing to us the depths of our shadow. Dreams with departed loved ones are High SOUL offering reunions and opportunities to complete karma. Dreams that suggest what the future might be are High SOUL pre-cognitively preparing us for the inevitable vicissitudes of life and death.

Dreams that reflect our highest conscious aspirations are High SOUL cheering us on to stay the course. Dreams that manifest our doubts are High SELF highlighting our hidden forebodings. Dreams out of body are High SELF allowing us to truly be more than our physical bodies.

Offer deep thanks and praise to High SOUL, bringer of dreams. Suspend judgment and give yourself permission to love and embrace your highest of all SOULMATES, High SOUL, bringer of dreams!

Dream on,

Chuck
