Check in with your own heart and what it has to say to you. Listen to its words of wisdom and guidance, even as you look for what you need outside of yourself. Soul searching is a wonderful pastime, well worth the time and effort, but don’t forget to connect with and commune with your own soul within you. Even as you long for something to happen outside of you, your soul is reminding you that what you truly want is communion with your true self, with your own spirit energy, to know it, own it, and experience it more fully. Now that’s what you’re really looking for. Keep going inward and tuning in to yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Let go of who you think you are and become your promised self. Set aside what you know about yourself and become your unknown self. You were born with an imprint and a core issue. The challenge is to move beyond it. Though it may permeate your life in memory and emotion let it not overwhelm you. Let it not smother you. Let it not hold you back any longer from emerging from its shadow into the light of new life. Yes, you were set up, but by your own soul, who loves you and gave you your challenges. And more than anything your soul wants you to challenge its authority and break away from what it has saddled you with and take yourself to a new level. That’s the real challenge. Soul imprint or not, you can change. Throw off the old inner voices that keep telling you what you can’t do and what you are not. Give yourself a new inner voice, with new words and new promises to keep. You have the power to change how you think about yourself,  what you say to yourself, and how you act. It’s time to embrace who you truly are. It’s your life after all.

Chuck’s Place: Calm the Self, Calm the World

Acceleration Fatigue might aptly characterize the mind’s reaction to the  energy of now. Future Shock has become daily shock. Saturated with awful, we can absorb no more. Herein lies the opportunity to: Calm the Self and Calm the World.

Every day offers opportunity for calm reflection…

Begin by refusing the attraction to new news. There’s always excitement to be found, and excitement has its definite place, but too much of anything leads to exhaustion. Save your attention for your breath. Softly breathe in calm, gently melt away tension in soothing release.

Consider the many lives of self, coexisting at increasingly subtler levels of spirit, supporting the body in these rapidly changing times. Allow the messages, teachings, and adjustments from faraway dreams to innervate the self of daily life. Feel the love and support of wholeness of being as it reflects itself throughout the day.

Suspend judgment. Treat the march of events as they arrive at your shore with deep curiosity. Who are these visitors? Do I need to purchase their offerings? Why have they come my way this day? Don’t be offended by their intrusion. Remember, you have total charge of where you place your attention. Choose wisely, choose lovingly.

Love. Love the body, the physical being of this dimension. Love the mind, the spirit partner to the physical self. Love the consciousness that spirit affords. Love the spirit that journeys with all spirits, all parts of the same magnificent whole. Love all thy neighbors as thyself.

Have love for the ego; it’s saddled with self importance. Nonetheless, it remains the ground zero general of this dimension. Realize it must face its petty tyrants in its struggle to be free. And what is freedom? Freedom is serving the true needs of self beyond the veils of illusion. Tall order. Love it well.

Wait patiently. All things change in time. But for things to truly change the time must be ripe. Be with the changes of now, however painful, as precursors, milestones of greater change to come. No need to overly suffer in these suffering times. Be in truth. Eat, drink, and find joy in even these darkest of times. The darkest hour is just before the dawn. A change is gonna come, be patient.

Be like the rainmaker who brings rain when she restores herself to the Tao. Find your way to calm and it will calm the world.

Peace,

Chuck

Let your mind be free of worry and constraints. Let your heart rest, knowing that all will be well. Let your body experience what life brings, and yet guide yourself forward in all manners with a combination of discipline and daring, restraint and freedom, care and abandon, for life, in all its vicissitudes, requires both certainty and uncertainty, sharp concentration and the ability to release from constraint when necessary. Life is not a straight path but one that takes many sharp turns, dips and drops, that diverges and shifts without a moment’s notice. And so the human being must be prepared for what it brings, for what it entices with, and for what it curtails with. Knowing all this, embrace life with open arms, for no matter what happens, or has happened to you, you are well prepared for it. For it is your soul’s intent to live the life you are in, but it is also your soul’s intent that you confront and conquer all that your present life entails too. Your soul’s intent is that you evolve and do so with full consciousness, in alignment with where you are, who you are, and what you have been given. It is all your soul’s intent. And it is all your own intent too! Recognize this and half the battle is won!
