#516 Establish a Practice of Inner Centering

Jeanne Marie Ketchel
Channeled by Jan Ketchel

Dear Jeanne,
Do you have a message for us today?

Today, I suggest taking some time to center the self, with inner centering, heart-centering if you prefer. Do this often, for only in centering the self will you be prepared for the energy outside of you as it comes to shake you up, propel you along, or flow with you, as you make your way.

A practice of inner centering is good to establish no matter what the outer energy is doing. Inner centering is a basic and practical method of establishing calmness and balance, but it will also allow you to be more energetically conducive and appropriate in your life.

With inner centering you may notice that the energy outside of you is not so interesting or so disruptive. With inner centering you may notice that your old habits are not so greedy for your attention, and your big baby self may slumber more peacefully. With inner centering you may find that your mature adult self is much more interesting to have around because your awareness may peak and wish for greater exploration and continued presence in your life. With inner centering as a daily practice you may find that you learn what it means to be compassionately detached, compassionately loving, and compassionately present in your world. With inner centering your own presence upon that earth may be more acceptable to outer energy, more conducive to spiritual work, and more prepared for what may come.

Your presence upon that earth is your greatest certainty at this moment. You do exist upon that plane. How you choose to exist is up to you. Are you seeking solace and happiness, calmness and love, energetic flow and greater awareness? If you are at all interested in being an evolving energy being, I highly suggest that a practice of inner centering become your means of attaining not only momentary calm, but greater awareness of self, of others, of your environment, and of the greater world around you, both physically and energetically.

Sit calmly. You need not take any special actions, unless you prefer a stricter routine. Simply sitting alone, releasing your thoughts, and focusing on either your heart-center, or any other chakra center of the body, is certainly appropriate. Breathe gently and directly into the chakra area you choose to accept as your place of calm, or simply breathe softly and gently without focus, if you prefer. It does not really matter. What does matter is that you allow your self a calm respite as you begin to more fully accept your self for who you are now, without judgment, without worry, without sadness, or anger, or disturbance of any sort. Simply be. Suspend the self in momentary calm. Allow the self to be nothing more than energy riding your calm breathing; a gentle energetic being asking nothing, needing nothing, wanting nothing, for a few moments. In such reverie will you begin to awaken your own energy self. In such calmness will you begin to tap into resonant energy, and you will begin to find that this practice of inner centering will give you more energy, but it will also begin to shift your awareness of your outer world. The more you do it the more you will find that your presence upon that earth will become more defined, more meaningful, and your purpose clearer.

As you elect to more fully embrace the self as an energy being, your physical world, with its problems, aches and pains, worries and stresses, will not appear so overwhelming. Your channel to your own calm happiness and mature energetic self will open wider and remain open. Your big baby will slumber more often, and your relationships will blossom with new understanding.

In an ideal world, everyone would choose to do such inner calm centering before each meeting, each discussion, each decision, each confrontation, each choice; before each process undertaken, or step that must be made. If such practice became more common then you would, indeed, begin to see great change.

I wish you, My Dear Ones, calm inner centering. Give your self a gift today, a moment’s respite, but also a moment’s energy!

#515 Reread Your Books of Knowledge

Jeanne Marie Ketchel
Channeled by Jan Ketchel

Dear Jeanne,
Do you have some guidance today?

Do not be conciliatory or regretful of the steps taken in your life. Do not harbor hatred or fear of the self or others for decisions made. This is a time of forging ahead, clearly knowing that the path ahead is open and waiting for your presence upon its open road.

Your progress is certain, for you exist, but do not take for granted that you will evolve, for evolution takes work and awareness, taking into consideration the lessons learned. The lessons learned as you travel your path in that life must be utilized, stacking up as books of knowledge, read over and over again until they are ingrained in your visceral memory and brought forth in your everyday life.

Your evolution is not granted simply because you exist. In order to evolve, a conscious decision to be open to the possibilities offered in life must be adhered to, no matter what comes to shake you up or disturb your reverie.

This is a time of convergence. Many energies are now intermixing, producing confusion, at first, but patience will allow for truth to be revealed as the stars and planets realign in more practical design soon enough. This practical design will allow for greater focus. Your desire to evolve will reassert and your desire to change will become more clearly defined in both direction and method. This is the open path ahead that I speak of today.

A time of void, of unclarity, of foggy or cloudy thoughts and vision lies ahead. Through this time I suggest attention be paid to your books of knowledge, your lessons thus far learned, especially those of late, for they are the most pertinent reminders of your current progress and your current process.

I predict (I often do not like to be so bold as to use that word, but I will today!) that life will be just fine just beyond this time of void. Your plans for the future will be revealed as either correct decisions or faulty in some manner, allowing you to make new decisions as you see what presents itself next.

Take things a little slowly for the next few days. Walk in inner peace. Play at establishing calm practices of inner contemplation while you work at rereading your recent lessons learned. Work and play in steady balance will enable you to maneuver through this time of convergence and subsequent void until the mists of life’s energy clear and your way reveals itself again.

I offer this message today as incentive to remain in alignment with your hopes, your dreams, your purposes in life, for they will be revealed more clearly; it is just a matter of time.

#514 Chuck’s Place: Suspend Judgement

Welcome to Chuck’s Place, where Chuck Ketchel expresses his thoughts, insights, and experiences!

Carlos Castaneda opened the weeklong workshop series known as the Westwood Series, at UCLA in 1996, with the instruction, SUSPEND JUDGEMENT. He intended to introduce us to some core sorcery knowledge, but knew that the dominance of our minds needed to first soften to allow it in. His method to achieve this was to have us learn and perform sorcery movements called MAGICAL PASSES, which enabled us to gather the energy needed to receive his knowledge. Judgement, he contended, was the guardian of our worldview, however limiting or illusory. In order to see and experience more we must first suspend judgement.

Jeanne has suggested, many times, that we be careful to never be harsh with the self. Harshness is the action of a judgement, which views the self, in some way, as a failure. She suggests that we view, instead, all our decisions and actions as necessary and as part of our path of gaining knowledge. Rather than berate the self for the repetition of an ancient “negative” behavior, ask the self what it means. Why have I journeyed here again? What is it that I need to learn? Am I ready to retire these actions or thoughts, or must I remain a while longer? This line of questioning is gentle and objective; it allows the self to be fluid. It allows the self to discover its secrets. It allows the self to gather in old energy, tucked away in old experiences, waiting to be liberated and returned to the self to allow for a new direction.

When we look outward into the world, our judgements categorize every one and every thing. These categories generate clarity and determine how we navigate. The value of such an interpretation system cannot be overestimated, as it generates a cohesive world for us to solidly live and die in. However, our judgements are hardly objective. Much of what we “see” is, in fact, the projection of archetypal determinants, or reflections of our own psychic economy. If I haven’t discovered the depth of my own shadow, I am surely subject to dark paranoid projections upon the people of the world around me. How can I ever discover the true nature of the world if I remain encased in my own subjective bubble? Suspending judgement outwardly requires the same curiosity as the inward view. Why do I feel this way toward him/her? What happens if I suspend the automatic categorization; if I continue to observe; if I allow myself further investigation? Perhaps I will discover something very different than I initially assumed.

Buddha’s emphasis on compassion can be helpful here. Compassion erases the category of otherness. True compassion requires the ability to own the fullness of the self, no discarded parts projected outwardly. Removing the veil of separateness in our experience of the world opens the door to deeper exploration and connection. We may choose not to go deeper with another, but we can do it from a place of energetic objectivity, i.e.: this relationship doesn’t serve my energetic evolution or, I no longer need this energetic encounter because I have discovered all I need to learn. This kind of decision making is a far cry from any judgement of superiority or difference, which subjectively keeps us entrenched in the veil of our illusion of who we really are.

Learning to suspend judgement is, by far, the most powerful tool to pry apart the old veils, advancing us into deeper truth, and worlds beyond the known.

As always, I am open to discussion or comment. Should anyone wish to write, I can be reached via email at: chuck@riverwalkerpress.com

Until we meet again,
Chuck

#513 A Day of Conquest

Jeanne Marie Ketchel
Channeled by Jan Ketchel

Dear Jeanne,
Do you have a message for us today?

This is a day of conquest, a day of capitulation to the truth as it is shown, revealed, and repeatedly stressed to you. Realization of the self as a human being, with many facets of needs and desires, is essential in order to continue your journey as an evolutionary being. Today is a day of acceptance of this human self who so desires your acknowledgment and your acquiescence. When I speak of conquest and capitulation, I speak of the inner self and the outer self in battle and yet also in agreement that it is time to proceed now on a journey of partnership, companionship, and balanced awareness, fully owning that each aspect of the self is necessary and essential.

You know who you are. You have been shown the truths of the self. Now it is time to allow those truths entry into the place of knowing that you guard so readily from intrusion. This place of inner knowing is not meant to be a separate place of purity or sanctity, but a place of raw and blatant truths. It is capable of accepting what is truth, ready to own that which is, in fact, truthfully necessary to own. This place of inner knowing will reject that which is not important or worthy of entry. It will refuse that which has been forced upon you by outer judges and condemners. Your place of inner knowing has been waiting for all truths of the self to flow in, unheeded, unimpeded, and unguarded by your self-restrictions and self-judgments. This is a day of self-conquest, a day to wrestle down your fears that block your truths and keep you in the land of unknowing where your progress is slow and your leap forward untaken.

By acquiescence to the bare and utter truths of the self your leap forward may now become your next step, and this, My Dears, is exactly what you want in your path. But I must warn you that it is a leap of faith that is being presented to you. In some manner, you are all being asked to move forward now, to leap into the unknown, to gather your wits, and go with nothing but your faith in the energy of life to carry you forward.

This is what a leap of faith means. It involves trust and acknowledgment of the greatest truths of the self, the lovely truths, but also the ugly truths. It involves the ability to trust that your journey is presenting you with exactly what you need, and it is being capable of allowing the self to let go of control of all that you have thought was so important in life. Now the energy of conquest and capitulation asks you to accept your truths, gather your wits, trust your journey, and leap forward into the unknown, fully aware that you are doing so, but also fully allowing your self to take such a leap because you know you are guided, aided, and shown what to do each step of your journey.

Trust your journey. It will show you where to go, but nothing will happen if you do not take the leap. No journey will materialize if you do not move out of your complacency. No energy of truth and trust will show you the way if you do not spur your self out of the doldrums and into the life you envision, desire, and want, in order to grow. Your perfect life awaits. What are you waiting for?

You are already on the journey you desire. You are living it every day. But in order to reach your dreams, you must wrestle your fears to the ground and realize that your dreams are at your command.

#512 A Day of Gratitude

Jeanne Marie Ketchel
Channeled by Jan Ketchel

Dear Jeanne,
Do you have a message for us today? Thank you so much for all the guidance you regularly give us.

It is interesting that you send that thank you, for this is a day of gratitude. Synchronistically speaking, it is a time of ritual energy, of personal space, and of self-acceptance as an individual of purpose and intent. Personal intent must always involve the recognition of the desire to grow and evolve, and this is what I seek always to remind you of.

I suggest that you each, My Dear Readers, take a few moments to thank the self for taking the journey you embarked upon at your birth into that life. Offer the self a solemn yet tender moment of acceptance and recognition of the journey thus far taken, and place a new invigorated intent to continue to grow.

The energy of this day is quite appropriate for setting intent, for giving thanks, for self-acceptance, and for new offerings to be made that have personal significance. The energy of today is charged with possibility outside of you, but it also asks for inner self-reflection of a positive, nurturing sort.

I, Jeanne Marie Ketchel, ask that you each tend to the self today, as an evolving being, as an energy being, as a loving and compassionate being, offering the self the nurturance of acceptance and acquiescence to the journey you are on. I ask that you allow your self to flow with your life, from this moment on, with your awareness continually noting your way, marking the significance of your journey through the changing energy of time.

Regard your self as a journeyer today. Accept your self as an energy being. Reward your self with the intent to continue growing. Make a solemn vow, offer a prayer, or meditate upon your intent to allow your journey to show you where to go next, asking the self to be open, to flow more readily. For what awaits you as you step forward, never stopping upon your path of growth, is new energy, new insight, and new growth.

Your journey is waiting for you to take it. Please allow your self to see the possibilities that may come your way as you open your heart to your self today, offering your self the journey that lies at your feet and on your horizon. Open your eyes to the journey of the self!

Chuck Ketchel, LCSWR
