Soulbyte for Monday November 9, 2015

Engineering change in your life takes perseverance. Without it little advancement will happen. Slip ups and returns to old states will constantly occur anyway, but without perseverance they will swamp the good work of change. Your soul will cry out, over and over again, in so many different ways, alerting you to your lack of adherence to the plans you both made to be someone different, to seek something new, to change once and for all.

Your soul knows what perseverance is and it’s ready to commit to the changing journey. Are you? Perseverance never hurt anyone. It just makes the journey that much more interesting and your soul is certainly interested in that kind of journey. Aren’t you?

Soulbyte for Sunday November 8, 2015

Between this day’s sunrise and sunset what will you do for yourself? What will you look for? What do you want? What do you need today? Make this day extraordinary. For you are extraordinary. All beings are extraordinary. Find the extraordinary in yourself, bring it forth, and live it today. Then do it again tomorrow. You will not regret it. It’s the next step on your journey of change. Will you dare to change in some extraordinary way today, or not? Nobody can do it for you. It’s up to you.

Soulbyte for Saturday November 7, 2015

Notice the words you use to describe yourself when only you are listening. Notice the labels that automatically slip from your lips, the thoughts that arise unbidden, the unhelpful ideas of an unchanging self. Step one in making a change: Change what you say to yourself. Give yourself some positive feedback today. Change, it all begins with you.

Soulbyte for Friday November 6, 2015

When negative thoughts about the self arise counter them with new practices. Use negativity as a catalyst to change. Rather than greet it as an old friend, send it packing like a bad guest no longer allowed to visit. Shove it out the door and then leave the door open, not so anything can come in, but so that you may feel the absence of your gnarly guest, the emptiness of yourself. If your next thought is negative get rid of it too, keeping the door open for longer, stretching the moments of emptiness. That should keep you pretty busy. Before you know it you’ll start to feel pretty good because emptiness is a fine friend. Cultivate that relationship.

Soulbyte for Thursday November 5, 2015

Your physical body is your vehicle through life, housing so much of who you are. But don’t forget: you are so much more than your physical body. All else that you are has another means of travel, beyond the physical. Notice how separate from your vehicle you really are and yet how the two of you work together. Be a good owner and driver of your vehicle, but put it away every now and then and take an out-of-body trip on the cosmic highway. When you sleep ask your fuller awareness to move outside of your physical body and show you something important. You might be surprised at where you go and what you learn.
