You can’t stop the waves of change, just as you can’t stop the changing of day into night, the ocean’s tides, the seasons from ending and beginning, nor the wind from blowing. But you can set an inner intent in how you decide to live your life, no matter the changes that come upon you. With love in your heart, with kindness and compassion at the ready, you can substantially affect your daily experience and that of others. Let love be your guide as you set your intent to weather every storm with wisdom and perseverance, and as you hold sacred within you the knowledge that all things come to a natural end, that this time too shall pass, and that new life will come again. But while you are participant in these changing times hold sacred that certain things will remain adherent, practiced daily, no matter what else comes to greet you; and they are, beauty and goodness, a kind word, a gentle laugh, a little joy, and yes, above all always be loving, even to your enemy.
