With good intentions begin each day. Remind yourself often of the desire to change. Take a step, repeat your intentions, and then another. Inform your mind and your body that you are in charge now and then charge your intentions to remind you often of your changing attitude throughout the day and in the signs that come to guide you. Slowly but surely, with good intentions, things will change.
Thoughts have power. They control. They create. Everything was once just a thought or idea. You are thoughts, a body stuffed with them. Change your thoughts and you change your body and everything else about yourself. That is the work of recapitulation and the deeper Self. It’s easy to see how thoughts have manifested outside of you, but how have they manifested inside you? You are what you believe, what you think, what you create. Change your thoughts, change everything. Get inspired. Create anew!
I said to Jan on Sunday that it felt like the first day of spring—yes, January 31st! Temperatures in the low 50s, people out walking, time elongated to the point where by 8 PM it felt like 11PM, certainly time for bed!
The world is changing rapidly now. There is no going back. Though we ground ourselves in the familiarity and constant contact of social media, pervasive and lasting change is swooping in all around us.
I was delighted, on our timeless Sunday, to find and watch a documentary on Marion Woodman, renowned Jungian analyst, whose personal life and transformation speak eloquently to the coming death and rebirth of the world we live in as we undergo deep transformation. Her sharing of the rise of the feminine as the missing healing factor in our growth process is positive and quite hopeful. I couldn’t have said it better.
Who rules your kingdom? Everyone is made up of different parts working for or against the greater good. For instance, there is the saboteur, the Knight or Lady who constantly tricks leaving one stranded again. There is the child Prince or Princess who doesn’t want to grow up, the Mother Queen who cares too much or too little, the Father King who takes too much power or none at all. Who’s in control? When all parts are known, each reconciled, there are fewer disturbances and a balanced kingdom is achieved.
Know all your parts, particularly the one who rules the most. They are really just waiting for the true King or Queen to come along and put them in their places. That is you. But who are you? That’s another question!
