Something else is always in control. Some days it will have you walking the muddy earth, other days it will have you flying high in the sky. The human self has wants and desires but so does the spiritual self. It is when their wants and desires are in alignment that real progress is made. Achieving such alignment requires more than deciding on a course of action and sticking to a plan. There is a lot of give and take, a playing out that occurs as the two parts of the self duel it out. Eventually alignment may occur, but often this does not happen until the heart is brought on line, allowed to speak over the dictates of the head, making clear your true wants and desires.
