Out with the old, in with the new! It has been a long time coming but we are up and running with our new look. Easier navigation, easier reading, less bulk with new drop down menus. Still some work to be done, but thanks to our trusty Admin, Nick, we are almost there! Enjoy!
Set in Austria in the late 1930s, The Sound of Music is a deeply moving story of coming of age, finding one’s true self, transforming grief and loss, as well as holding onto the Self in the midst of the Nazi takeover of the minds of the masses and the country itself. This 1965 classic offers timely guidance for where we are now. Love rules!
A bit pricey to stream, but well worth it. This is Chuck’s favorite movie of all time!
I had the good fortune of a brief, private audience with Laurens Van der Post back in the 1970s. I asked him whether Jung really meant that what an individual resolved within themselves could indeed radically change the world. He replied, “that was Jung’s absolute conviction.”
In this time, where so much energy is drawn outwardly to the decisions of rulers overpowering our destiny, I pass on links to Laurens Van der Post’s three-part series on Jung’s contribution to our time, which captures the inner path to change. I am indebted to a young man for his research in finding the links to these valuable films which have been lost to me for decades.
Here are the links, the films are approximately 30 minutes each:
March on consciousness!
Leonard Cohen, the innerly soulful poet and musician, gently closed the door of an era, dying this past Monday night, election eve. He left us with a touch of the eternal in his final album, You Want it Darker, which we highly recommend for deep spiritual renewal and communion. Hallelujah, Leonard! Hello Marianne!
As we begin this new era of ego and the dark side we recommend as well the movie, Dr. Strange, which distills the tools of The Matrix, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and the spiritual wisdom of the Aquarian Age, a fitting reminder of our own potential and mortality as we embark upon the coming challenges before us in this world.
The journey continues in all worlds. May we find deep renewal and refueling as we prepare for the next leg of the journey.
Peace, love, and wisdom,
Chuck & Jan
