Website Updates

Over the next few days and weeks we will be updating the content on the website. A new side panel showing recent comments will appear allowing for easier access to reader comments that are now embedded in each post. This will offer the opportunity for you, our readers, to perhaps engage in a dialogue with each other and with us as well. We’ve been enjoying the process so far, but realize that it needs to be more accessible and obvious, so hopefully the new format will help. Thank you to those of you who have been commenting thus far. It has been a pleasure reading your insights and experiences.

We intend to maintain our current channeling and blogging schedule over the holidays, though we will be taking a break from our psychotherapy and hypnosis work until after the New Year.

An energetic happy holidays to all!
Love from all of us,
Jan, Chuck, and Jeanne

AVATAR

We highly recommend the movie Avatar. An experience of energy and the interconnectedness of all things, of everything that Jeanne talks about, very Jungian, shamanic, environmentally and politically astute (and much more), thoroughly engaging, with a great and satisfying story this movie is not to be missed. Hopefully you can see it in 3D. This is not a movie for small children, though it will engage anyone on some level. We have not seen such a thoroughly satisfying movie in a long time.

Our Thanks for a Break

Dear Readers and Fellow Explorers,

Today’s message is posted below. We will be taking a much needed short break over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Messages from Jeanne and Chuck’s Place will resume starting on Monday, November 30, 2009.

We encourage the giving of life. If you are heading out to begin your holiday shopping on Black Friday we ask you to consider giving the film Food Inc. to everyone on your gift list. It offers timely, meaningful, and helpful insight into how to live a life that is respectful, modest, and thoughtful of all life.

Happy Thanksgiving! See you soon!
Love,
Jan, Chuck, and Jeanne

Capitalism: A Love Story

If you haven’t seen Capitalism yet we highly recommend it. As Chuck stated in his blog last Saturday on Youthful Folly:

Thank you Michael Moore. Not only have you made a movie of supreme importance and relevance to now, but, because you did it so well, I am freed to write about Youthful Folly rather than have to comment on current events that equally attracted my attention this week. We must become real students of the truth of our beloved America. Everyone, go and see Capitalism: A Love Story! Jan suggests that you bring tissues, lots of them. We traveled a bit to view this movie on its opening day. We thought we might enjoy dinner at our favorite city of Poughkeepsie restaurant, The Busy Bee Cafe, only to discover that, like Flint Michigan, Poughkeepsie reveals the true nature of reality in America: our favorite eatery was empty and boarded up! As we traveled north toward home we decided to stop at Sabroso in Rhinebeck, another favorite place, for delicious tapas. They get it right!

On a final note: Congratulations to President Barack Obama for receiving the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize!!!

Look for a new Saturday message from Chuck tomorrow. Hmm, I wonder what he’ll write about? Have a great weekend!
Jan and Chuck
