If you are intent upon change then you must be the changer. It’s as simple as that. Change comes anyway whether you intend it or not, but positive change must be instituted, tweaked, and set upon its course. Otherwise, the change that comes will be out of your control, like a tremendous thunderstorm that naturally unleashes upon the earth, falling where it may, leaving destruction in its wake.

Institute real and lasting change by your directed intent. Make some decisions and stick with them. Those decisions will one day be your best friends, the only thing that moved you forward into new life. And you will, in all honesty, be able to say that they came from you and your desire for change. Change anything with firm intent. That’s how to do it. Be the agent of change in your own life. You can do it!

A time of suffering leads to a time of renewal. You can’t have renewal and transformation without suffering and sacrifice. That’s just the way it is. Abide in knowing that though you may suffer now, your own transformation is in the works. Use this time well, knowing that it will run its course just as the seasons change, just as the ice melts and the warm spring comes again after each cold winter. Transformation’s seeds lie waiting inside you. You are the winter’s ice and the spring’s warmth, bringing change when the time is ripe.

Transformation will happen. It is as inevitable as the sun’s rising each day and the darkness of each night. Have patience, but also learn as much as you can about yourself and what it means to suffer a transformation. As you personally suffer bear also the fruits of compassion, love, and kindness for others who also suffer so that your suffering will be of use beyond the self. For all who suffer now are on a path that is universal and will bring universal transformation. You are in the company of good energy.

Be fierce, but in the right way. Do not be fiercely angry, sad, or depressed, but do be fiercely compassionate, fiercely kind, and fiercely loving. Include such positive fierceness in all areas of life, toward self and other. To be fierce in the world you live in today is to bring in the energy of the divine, for that which is divine is indeed fierce!

Practice positive fierceness. Without demanding or controlling it let it naturally reveal itself, as the rivers flow and the oceans exist. Do not shrink from it but know its power and allow it to be utilized in the right way, as divine energy streaming through a divine being—you!
